**_Fatal Attraction at a high school in middle America_** A single father and his daughter (Rusty Joiner and Laura Bilgeri) make a fresh start in a new town where he teaches English. A couple of the girls in his class are attracted to their new teacher (Lucy Loken and Alexandria DeBerry), but one of them becomes decidedly obsessed. “My Teacher, My Obsession,” aka “Dad Crush” (2018), works as a high school drama, a coming-of-age story and, at the end, a tame slasher. Think “The Rage: Carrie 2” on a lower budget and with less horror. The three females noted are highlights and Joiner does well in the role of the noble father/teacher. The production values are fine as long as you don’t mind ‘B’ and ‘C’ actors. Where the flick goes wrong is suspension of disbelief. There’s no doubt that a young female like Lucy Loken could seduce an older, goodhearted man, but the specific scenario in which this occurs has to be believable. It isn’t here, which insults the intelligence of the viewer and basically ruins the movie. The father would have to be a drug-addled doofus, but that’s clearly not the case. The flick runs 1 hour, 27 minutes, and was shot in the greater Louisville area, Kentucky. GRADE: C
