I know, 10 out of 10 stars, right? Well if a movie entertains me, I sort of feel it's done its job as a film. And this movie is entertaining. Have you seen either "Lady in the Water" or "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil?" Yeah, this movie isn't exactly as good as either of them. But to be fair it was working on a shoe string budget...however there are similarities. Like the other two movies I mentioned, the film is focused on characters, specifically those in a little apartment complex and that really makes up the soul of the film. The little plot it has is more of a way to showcase the characters than really advance any ideas. And, honestly, that's fine. The characters that the film revolves around are relatable and unique enough to keep you entertained. It makes the entire experience worth it, even if it is light on the horror. Don't expect much from the film, just take it for what it is. It's a throw away that you watch once and forget, but it still entertains enough to waist your time properly.
